Kiln to Table: Misti Norris - Sun, Oct 20, 7PM

$275.00

Our Kiln to Table dinner series is about intention, collaboration, and creativity. It’s an extension of the studio's goal of connecting people with food and each other through artful ceramics and conviviality. Our next dinner welcomes Misti Norris as our October Kiln to Table chef.

To slide into a banquette or sidle up to the bar at her restaurant Petra and the Beast, is to strap yourself into a culinary rollercoaster. This ride thrills through flavors: aged and smoked charcuterie, hand-hewn pastas, vegetables that are enlivened by fire or fermentation or any manner of cooking technique for that matter.

Norris is a six-time James Beard Award nominee, earning a spot as a 2024 Best Chef: Texas Finalist spot. Petra and the Beast was named Culture Map’s 2024 Restaurant of the Year. Her restaurant is among D Magazine’s top three restaurants in the city. She was named Best New Chef by Food & Wine magazine.

Norris and her talented team play with both innovation and nostalgia. But one thing they don’t play about is their sustainability and whole-utilization philosophy. Little is wasted, everything has a purpose and a beauty.

This October, the beauty of Norris’ dishes will be served on our artful ceramics. “There are so many beautiful ones we don't get to plate in the restaurant,” she says, though you’ll definitely dine on Marcello Andres Ceramics plates and bowls at Petra, too.

Please join us this month for six courses of food on six courses of ceramics, served at our quonset hut in the Cedars.
